The Wheel of Colors

The Wheel of Colors

Remember this wheel, this circle?

I bet from school.

I had to paint one as well.

I have learned about complementary colors.

As you see at the circle red is the complementary color of green, blue the one of orange and yellow the one of purple or violet.

In this circle I have mixed the colors with the CMYK mixer of the palette in Illustrator.

If you remember CMYK is a subtractive color system.

If you mix all colors you will get black.

The more colors you mix the darker they will get.

Same system with the watercolors we used in school.

Ghee sometimes we really created a mess, right?

I vaguely remember this colour palette from school days – and it brought back fun memories of going a bit crazy in art class !
    Happy New Year !
