Yesterday the German parliament discussed about quotas for women in work … again.
And again they didn’t make a law, which guarantees women their equal part in work.
Sure there are professions where women are in the majority.
Actually we are not discussing about these professions and also not about the professions where guys are in the majority. We are discussing about jobs and positions where women work successfully for years but yet most bosses are still male. Read the rest of this entry

4 older brothers, three lovely wives of brothers and some nieces and nephews, & now an in-laws family… more brothers & two lovely sisters & more nieces & nephews!

Current ‘profession’ = Jewel Queen ;) & owner of Seba Dizajn a small boutique in sunny Korcula, Croatia. Husband is the creator of all things filigree (Seba Silver)

Education = on-going! Especially where social media & biz promotion is concerned.

My name is Julie, I‘m 35 years old and I come from quite a large family with sisters and 2 brothers, I‘m an Avid writer on the side and I was a full time carer before the death of my grandmother who was wheel chair bound and suffered 2 times with Cancer and other illnesses.

What are your 3 favourite things about it?

Being part of a large family has its ups and downs, the closeness of each of them is a true gift but being able to be around for everyone can sometimes stretch you in so many directions. Read the rest of this entry

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Michèle, I will be 50 next spring and I live with my partner and my 16 year old son. I studied at Cambridge University.

I am a coach, psychotherapist and trainer. This means I spend my time working with individuals to support their growth and development, facilitate groups to enable them to work more effectively together, and train organisations in a number of subjects, including Disability Equality.

I used to be a performer, writer and director in the theatre but I don’t do so much of that now, although I do occasionally perform stand-up comedy and sketches with a friend who is a very funny woman. Read the rest of this entry

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Lisa, I’m a 42 year old self employed Career Counsellor  & Work-life Coach.
Many people don’t really understand what I do, but basically I help people with career related matters.

I help people who are unsure about career choice using a variety of career counselling strategies. I also help people who are already pursuing a career to address issues, develop a career progression plan, learn more about further education and training or change jobs.

Another part of my role is assisting people develop a CV, write applications and improve their job interview skills. My day can vary from helping someone prepare a CV, counselling someone who has lost their job due to the economic crisis, to interview coaching someone via Skype to prepare them for an upcoming job interview.
